A PCB assembly enquiry is easier to scope when the design data, quantity and expected checks refer to the same released revision. An incomplete package can still start a discussion; identify what is missing.
Fabrication and assembly data
Prepare the board fabrication outputs, drill data, board dimensions and stack-up requirements. Add placement data and assembly drawings that show reference designators, orientation and any special instructions.
Bill of materials
Include reference designators, manufacturer part numbers, quantities and approved alternatives. Mark parts that will be supplied by you and substitutions that require approval.
Quantity and build requirements
State the intended build quantity and target schedule. Identify special assembly, packaging, labeling or traceability requirements before quotation.
Programming and testing
Provide the approved firmware revision and programming instructions where required. Define what the assembled boards need to pass, the equipment needed and how results should be recorded.
Revision control
Keep the BOM, board files, assembly drawings and firmware aligned. Resolve substitutions or design changes before the affected build proceeds.
